SEC to open help desk in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY --- The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Legazpi extension office, in collaboration with the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (CSCCI), will establish a help desk in Naga City early next year to allow clients from Camarines Sur and nearby areas to access SEC services without the need to travel to this city.
In an interview on Friday, Arlyn Joy Alarcon, SEC-Bicol information officer, said the help desk is designed to assist some 7,700 stock and non-stock corporations in Camarines Sur and neighboring areas.
“The assistance provided at the help desk will focus on registration, submission of reportorial requirements and payments. We will also help clients navigate SEC’s online systems, including the Electronic Simplified Processing of Application for Registration of Company (eSPARC), Electronic System for Payment to SEC (eSPAYSEC), and the Electronic Filing and Submission Tool (eFAST),” she said.
Alarcon said the helpdesk will be located at the CSCCI building in Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City and will accommodate clients daily.
“The CSCCI will host the helpdesk in its office, providing logistical support such as space, equipment, and trained staff. The SEC will oversee capacity-building programs and service quality. Scheduled to open in early 2025, the help desk will operate from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. This is expected to streamline transactions and boost economic activity in the region significantly,” Alarcon added.
She said the SEC plans to establish another help desk in Camarines Norte in partnership with the provincial government, also in 2025.
“This initiative aims to serve as a convenient, localized resource for corporate registration and compliance. By bringing our services to Naga City, we are making it easier for clients in Camarines Sur to transact with the SEC,” SEC Legazpi Director Norma Olaya said in a statement. (PNA)
