SORSOGON CITY, Sorsogon — Thirty micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Sorsogon will showcase the province’s unique coconut products and craftsmanship in Metro Manila at the Kasanggayahan Sorsogon GoConut Trade Fair 2026.
The event will take place from September 17 to 20 at the Level 2 Grand Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City.
The Sorsogon Provincial Office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is organizing the event aimed at helping local businesses reach a wider customer base.

The trade fair will connect producers from Sorsogon with buyers and distributors in Manila who are interested in sustainable, high-quality products.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of coconut and pili-based treats, including virgin coconut oil, coco jam, vinegar, pastries, and preserves.
Additionally, the fair will showcase eco-friendly items such as handmade baskets, bags, clothing, accessories, lamps, home decor, packaging, coconut-shell crafts, abaca products, and sustainable charcoal.
The true spirit of Kasanggayahan—a celebration of prosperity, abundance, and shared progress—will be prominently showcased at this event, emphasizing how Sorsogon’s rich coconut resources support creative enterprises and expand market opportunities.
Highlighting the importance of this event, DTI Sorsogon Provincial Director Malou Pancho stressed the “significant opportunity” to elevate local craftsmanship.
“I truly believe that this trade fair is one of the ultimate launchpads to showcase our provincial pride on a grander stage,” Pancho said, noting that the Manila exhibition is a strategic initiative to help local businesses move beyond their limited regional markets.
Pancho said that by bringing homegrown brands to the capital, DTI aims to connect micro-producers directly with retail networks.
“Our products have achieved world-class quality, and bringing them to Metro Manila will unlock significant opportunities with national buyers, exporters, and major distributors who can truly help our local enterprises scale and succeed,” she added.
The initiative positions local MSMEs not only as producers of traditional goods but also as innovators who transform indigenous materials and community knowledge into profitable commercial products, Pancho said.
For emerging brands, the fair serves as a crucial stepping stone, providing nine first-time participants with an essential platform for market testing and real-time customer validation, alongside 21 returning MSMEs that continue to expand their operations and product lines through DTI’s comprehensive enterprise development programs.
The province-wide economic initiative showcases the depth of Sorsogon’s coconut value chain, featuring exhibitors from communities across Sorsogon City and 12 municipalities, including Barcelona, Bulan, Bulusan, Castilla, Donsol, Gubat, Irosin, Juban, Matnog, Pilar, Prieto Diaz, and Sta. Magdalena.
The extensive participation highlights the breadth of Sorsogon’s coconut value chain and the role of MSMEs in transforming local resources into food, wellness, fashion, home, and lifestyle products.
Mallgoers, institutional buyers, distributors, and advocates of locally made products are invited to visit the fair, meet the makers, and discover products that reflect Sorsogon’s identity and world-class potential. (PIA Bicol/Sorsogon/ with a report from Ma. Carmela Cuya of DTI)
