SSS pursues drive vs delinquent employers
The Social Security System (SSS) continued its visit to non-compliant employers during its fifth leg of Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign last July 6.
Seven employers received written notices for failure to remit contributions and accumulated penalties amounting to P1.75 million.
“SSS recognizes the role of employers as partners in providing social security protection to every worker. We are offering the Pandemic Relief Restructuring Program (PRRP) so that they can fulfill their duty of paying their past-due contributions,” SSS Vice President for Luzon Bicol Division Elenita S. Samblero said.
PRRP 3 or Enhanced Installment Payment Program offers flexible payment terms ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the total amount of delinquency. Delinquent employers can submit their applications on or before Nov. 22, 2022. Further information on PRRP 3 can be accessed through https://bit.ly/3KAdXiX.
Qualified employers are advised to visit SSS Iriga Branch and coordinate with their respective account officers to avail of the program.
Samblero also advised all employed members to regularly monitor their SSS records which can now be accessed online through the My.SSS Portal at the SSS website (www.sss.gov.ph).
“We are also taking this opportunity to call on employed members to keep track of their contribution remittances. Contributions is essential in the workers’ benefits and privileges eligibility,” Samblero concluded.
