Ateneo de Naga and Universidad de Santa Isabel Batch ’78 have built what is now a proud and unique legacy — the STAYING ALIVE franchise.

Following the phenomenal success of its debut run, STAYING ALIVE Part 2 proved to be equally triumphant, solidifying the event as one of the most anticipated alumni-led productions in the region. With STAYING ALIVE 3 already on the horizon, Batch ’78 stands as the only group to have created an ongoing series of this scale and impact.

This year’s edition was billed as “Dance for a Cause,” with a portion of the proceeds dedicated to building a HARONG KATUTUBO for the INDIGENOUS PEOPLE of Ocampo, Camarines Sur, in partnership with the TABANG BIKOL MOVEMENT.

Despite having just a month of marketing and promotions, STAYING ALIVE Part 2 defied expectations by drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd, generating impressive sales and community support.

Adding to the night’s vivid energy was a stellar lineup of musical talent. The BAND OF BROTHERS, led by musical director ANTHONY DOTILLOS — fresh from a European performance tour — brought the spirit of the 1970s roaring back to life. Guests were likewise serenaded by the soulful harmonies of ONE VOICE TRIO, composed of JIMMY LETADA, JUN PALMA and BERNIE PRIELA with TOOTS ZAPANTA on Keyboards

The nostalgia kicked into high gear during the beloved Beatles Hour, performed by the young and vibrant group THE MOZARTS. Perhaps the most surprising moment of the evening was the special performance of VICE GOVERNOR SAL FORTUNO JR., who impressed the crowd with his vocal range — proving he is not only an effective public servant, but also a genuinely talented singer.

The event gathered enthusiastic support from various organizations and friend circles, including the ranking members of MANCAVE, the BASILICA JOGGERS, members of ALPHA PHI OMEGA and SCOUTS ROYALE BROTHERHOOD, and the dance enthusiasts of the PARISH OF SAINT JUDE, among others. Adding to the festive mood was birthday celebrant MS. NONI MANZANO who chose to mark her special day at STAYING ALIVE, bringing along nearly 50 of her closest friends — adding even more warmth and sparkle to the celebration.

Also in attendance were members of the TABANG BIKOL MOVEMENT, led by its chairperson EVITA JIMENEZ TUASON, reaffirming the group’s commitment to community upliftment. The night likewise welcomed the presence of CONG. SAL FORTUNO and CONGW JO FORTUNO. Seen having a great time was, DR. GABBY JIMENEZ, the Vice President of the Mariners Polytechnic Colleges,, accompanied by his trusted assistant RANDY SANTANA. Also seen on the dance floor was LYN SANTI, the energetic and lovely manager of VILLA CACERES.

Spotted on the dance floor was the ever elegant TITA DEL ALFELOR TIBI, President of DATS Entertainment Production and one of the event’s most generous sponsors. Together with her friend LE ANN ZUNIGA,, she danced the night away — fully embracing the lively retro spirit that made the event truly unforgettable.

Of course, no celebration would be complete without the vibrant participation of USI BATCH 78, under the able leadership of DR. AMY SANTIAGO DATOR assisted by DR. MARILOU SARMIENTO, who came dressed in full 70s style, elevating the night’s visual flair and nostalgia.

With the timely sponsorship of PCSO and other major partners, STAYING ALIVE Part 2 delivered on its promise of being bigger, louder, and more meaningful — once again proving that great music, purposeful celebration, and strong community spirit never go out of style.

STAYING ALIVE 2 is presented by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), with the support of Governor L Ray Villafuerte and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, and in cooperation with Ateneo de Naga High School Batch ’78, Colegio de Sta. Isabel Batch ’78, and the Tabang Bikol Movement.
