Teenager stabs ‘karibal’ dead

Vying for the attention of a beautiful village lass proved fatal to Darwin Dotillos, 15, of Bagoladio, Bula, Camarines Sur, after he was stabbed to death in Barangay Hamorawon in Minalabac town by teenager of the same age from Barangay Salingogon at 7:30 PM on Apr.7, a belated police report said.
Maj. Jim Jeremias, Minalabac police chief, told Bicol Mail that the victim together with four other youngsters harassed the suspect and his friend. In defense, the suspect stabbed the victim using a Batangas knife known as “balisong”.
He said that based from the medical report of the municipal health officer, the victim suffered a fatal stab wound in his stomach.
Jeremias said that according to the suspect, whose name is withheld as he is a minor, the victim and his companions threatened him and his friend, which resulted in the stabbing.
