TESDA CASIFMAS trains vloggers in photography

Personnel of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducted on March 2-4 a training workshop on photojournalism, photography and digital drone operations attended by vloggers, teachers, rescue and tourism personnel in the island town of San Pascual in Masbate.


San Pascual Mayor Maxim A. Lazaro through Community Training and Employment coordinator Jerome G. Morales has arranged the training purposely to develop and boost the skills of the islanders in capturing and captioning photos with technical and editorial significance for information dissemination, documentation, social media, and YouTube presentations and posting.

Ron Yves R. Beriso, a licensed drone pilot, photographer and trainer and Carlito J. Peralta, a tourism trainer, competency assessor and media practitioner were sent by TESDA as resource persons for the 3-day training.


Workshop activities include capturing still images using DSLR and mobile cameras, captioning captured photos and videos, and one-on-one session in operating and piloting the different types of digital drones.


TESDA CASIFMAS offers short term courses on photography and digital drone operations. Aside from this, interested individuals can choose from 31 different technical courses that the school is offering for free.
