Thanksgiving in giving: Archbishop celebrates 28th episcopal ordination anniversary

Most Rev. Rolando J. Tria Tirona, OCD, DD, , Archbishop of Caceres, celebrated the twenty-eighth anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination with a thanksgiving mass and a gift-giving activity on December 29, 2022 at the upland barangay of Naga City.
The Eucharistic Celebration was held at the chapel of the House of Apostolate of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, at Brgy. Panicuason, Naga City. The congregation is headed by Mother Maria Faustina P. Salas, FSI.
The Archbishop was joined by his secretary Fr. Gerome Pelagio, and Fr. Arnold Sanico, SDB, parish priest of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Carolina, Naga City.
“God is happy for those who are thankful, and for those who are sharing their blessings with others. Lead a self-giving life. Accept and offer everything to the Lord. Rely on Jesus and everything will be okay,” Archbishop Tirona said in his homily.
After the mass, a simple breakfast was held, followed by a gift giving activity at Sitio Yabu, Carolina, Naga City where the Archbishop Tirona gave food and toys to 100 kids.
Archbishop Roly was ordained Auxiliary Bishop of Manila by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin on December 29, 1994, at the Manila Cathedral, and was later appointed as Bishop of Malolos in 1996, serving there until he was appointed Prelate of Infanta in 2003. In 2012, he was appointed as the thirty-fourth Bishop and fourth Archbishop of Caceres.
