The 1st Peñafrancia Enduro Trail Fun Ride 2025

Naga City, Sept. 1, 2025. Enduro Trail Riding, one the most physically demanding yet exciting motorcycle hobby one enduro bike owner can have will have its maiden action on September 14, 2025. Dubbed as The 1st Peñafrancia Enduro Trail Fun Ride 2025, it will be held in conjunction with Bicol Regions’s forthcoming Fiesta celebration of its Patroness, Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

The event will have its Start/Take Off at 8:00 am in front of the New Carolina PUV Terminal in Bgy. Carolina, Naga City to be flag off by Punong Barangay Leoncio Libuit of Bgy Carolina. It will traverse the outskirts of the city rural areas from the New Carolina PUV Terminal to the down and up slopes of Mt. Isarog in Panicuason, of Inarihan Farm and to some areas of Calabanga, Camarines Sur particularly Barangay Lugsad, Harobay, Burabod and Comagingking. A late lunch will be served at the Happy Camper in Km. 9 Bgy. Pacol.

Awarding of Certificates of Participation & a specially made Metal Finisher’s Medal will be presented at the Finish/Arrival Area in front of Plaza Quince Martires in Centro Naga along the portion of Arana St. and P.Burgos St. of this City at 2:00 pm. Mayor Leni G. Robredo of Naga City might present the Awards if her time and schedule permits.

This motorsport event is not a race but a fun ride, or simply a “joy ride.” It aims to encourage all those with enduro motorcycle of any brand to participate, enjoy their bike, hone their riding skills, improve their physical endurance, and simply enjoy the trail routes. Basically, the ride is tailored light for beginners. This will be their best time to try and experience what their enduro bike can do on several terrain, like humps and bumps, uphills, and downhills to river crossing, from rocky portions to muddy parts and maneuver all obstacles along the path and a lot more. And for experienced riders, a moderate ride on this occasion - for hard rides can have its own some other day. The trail routes have been surveyed and mapped by trailblazer Riders Ruben Sta. Catalina, Raymund Serrado, Phil Nacario and Rene Serrado mentored by a former enduro and motocross rider Steve Samson.

Bicol Enduro Trailriders Association (BETA) President Ar-Jay Renales have expressed support by encouraging their members all over Bicol to join the Fun Ride. Motocross (MX) Enduro Rider Jan-Jan Fausto, nephew of Kabalikat President Jun Viola, Champion in the Open Power Enduro Category A in the recently held 2025 Coron Festival Enduro Trail Challenge in Tiwi, Albay is also expected to join the “joy ride”.

It was in 1973 when Enduro Trail Riding started here in Naga City. Other objectives of the Fun Ride are to gather all Enduro Trail Riding enthusiast; qualify, record, and categorize each one’s level of riding for possible Endurocross and/or Motocross Races in the future..

Safety will be strictly enforced. Riders must wear complete riding gears and the motorcycles must be in its good running condition. Basic requirements like original valid unexpired LTO Driver’s License, CLEAR photocopy of the Current Official Receipt (OR) and Certificate of Registration (CR) of the motorcycle to be used must be presented upon registration. Riders whose O.R. or CR are not yet under his name must attached photocopy of the Deed of Sale.

To those with Production or Racing type motorcycles, proof of ownership like Official Sale Receipt must be presented. “It is a great opportunity for our Office (LTO) on events like this to extend safety awareness to all the participating riders, be it on or off the road”, said Ms. Grace Rojas, Director of LTO Naga. Mr. Nestor Lanuza and Edwin Abergas from LTO will conduct a short dialogue with the participants to remind Riders of Road Safety and Defensive Riding before the take-off/start in the morning of that Sunday event.

All areas/portions within the boundaries of Mt. Isarog Natural Park (MINP) under the Protected Area Management Office (PAMO) of the Provincial Environment & Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camarines Sur shall be avoided.

Motorcycle Trick Contests like the Longest Distance Wheelie, a Single Leg Turn-Around or Donut Trick and other surprises will be featured in both venues of the Fun Ride with Special Awards to the best riders.

The project was activated last July 31, 2025 by a meeting at the Naga Tennis Court Lounge with Riders Fredrick Briones and James Lorica, son of Ace Naga Tennis Players Henry Lorica with Mike Matias. Naga Tennis Club President Edgar Rubio and Vice President Hector Mangente were gracious for the accommodation. And so with the meeting of September 25 with the trailblazers.

This motorsport event is a project of TRANSMARKE Sports Promotion Services in cooperation with the Naga City Government, the Bicol Enduro Trailriders Association (BETA), Tropang Techno Boys (TTB) Trail Enduro, Barangay Carolina LGU, Barangay San Franciso LGU, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Naga, and Kabalikat Civicom Naga.

Registration is on-going until September 12, 2025 at 47-A Barlin St., Sta. Cruz, Naga City. First 20 registrants will be given a simple key chain.
