PAMPLONA, CAMARINES SUR — Legal action may be pursued depending on the results of the ongoing inventory at the municipal hall, according to Mayor Awe Agustin.
Agustin, speaking on Monday, July 22, which marked his 21st day in office as newly elected mayor, said he still has no access to the official portal of the local government.
He claimed that the password to the portal was never turned over to him by the previous administration led by former mayor Dennis Imperial.
The portal, he explained, contains links that provide direct access to national government agencies — tools essential for the day-to-day operations of the municipality.
Agustin also revealed that several office supplies and equipment funded by the local government were allegedly removed from the premises as Imperial vacated his post.
As of this writing, an inventory is being conducted at the municipal hall to assess the extent of alleged irregularities left by the past administration.
Agustin warned that legal steps would be taken, especially if the former mayor continues to withhold cooperation.
