THE University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) School of Law staged its barristers’ Grand Send-Off on September 1, uniting the entire law community in a night of faith, solidarity, and inspiration for its aspiring lawyers.
Carrying the theme “Kilyab: Sparks that kindle, flames that claim,” the tradition opened with a solemn Mass and Pagmamanto at the UNC Chapel, grounding the evening in prayer and reflection. The celebration then moved to the UNC Sports Palace, where families, friends, professors, and alumni filled the hall with a resounding show of support for the bar candidates.
The highlight of the program was the keynote message of Prosecutor Freddie M. Nojara, LLM, who drew on his deep well of experience in both law and academia. He urged the examinees to embrace discipline and faith as their compass in navigating the rigors of the bar.
Organized by the UNC Law Bar Operations, the send-off was both a ritual of faith and a rallying call to resilience. —interweaving prayers, symbolic gestures, and stirring words meant to steel the hearts of the barristers.
The 2025 Bar Examinations are scheduled on September 7, 10, and 14. UNC has been designated as one of the Local Testing Centers (LTCs), as announced by the Supreme Court’s Office of the 2025 Bar Chairperson—a recognition that underscores the university’s role in shaping the region’s future lawyers.
As the nation’s emerging legal minds march toward the most coveted title of Attorney, the UNC Law community renewed its promise: to guide them with prayer, fuel them with encouragement, and believe unwaveringly that their sparks will soon blaze into triumph.
