Wife stabbed for nagging penniless hubby

BOMBON, Camarines Sur --- A mother of two while lying on her bed was stabbed to death by her husband on Monday evening in Barangay Siembre here.
Police authorities in the town identified the victim as Manilyn Boaquiña, 32, who was stabbed ten times by her husband Salvador Boaquiña, 41. The perpetrator used a bolo in the murder.
Police Lieutenant Rechilda Matias, officer-in-charge of Bombon municipal police station, told Bicol Mail that money matters triggered the squabble between the couple.
Based on the police report, the stabbing incident transpired because of a heated argument that took place at about 9:00 in the evening of Dec. 12, Monday. The suspect, after committing the crime, surrendered to Barangay Kagawad Honorio Bolado. The barangay official turned over the suspect to the police afterwards.
Matias said the victim lambasted her husband for being jobless. The police probers are still conducting their investigation to establish the reason behind the killing.
The police said the victim suffered ten stab wounds on the different parts of her body. The victim was rushed to the Bicol Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.
As of this writing, the suspect is in the custody of the town’s police station facing a case of parricide.
