Woman with P4M shabu nabbed in buy-bust

IN a major anti-drug operation, police authorities in Camarines Sur arrested a female high-value individual on October 21, 2025. Seized from her an approximately P4.08 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation staged in Brgy. Anayan, Pili.

The intelligence-driven operation, which unfolded at around 3:55 PM, was carried out by joint operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 5, PDEG SOU 5, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO), and the Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (MDEU) of Pili MPS. The operation was conducted in coordination with PDEA Regional Office V.

The suspect, identified by her alias “Inday,” a 37-year-old housemaid from Iligan City, Mindanao, was apprehended after she sold a sachet containing approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P100,000 marked money.

Following her arrest, a subsequent search led to the confiscation of an additional five knot-tied plastic bags and one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing around 550 grams of shabu, bringing the total recovered volume to 600 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of P4,080,000.

Marking and inventory of the seized items were conducted on-site in the presence of mandatory witnesses and documented using alternative recording devices.

The suspect was informed of her constitutional rights and is currently detained at Pili Municipal Police Station, where charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against her.
